Nikumbuke Women United
The US Embassy grant has provided us the opportunity to select 4 grassroot Kenya NGOs who’s mission is geared towards women-focused initiatives. We seek to work with these NGOs to implement soccer leagues where women can come together through sport to gain leadership skills and build resilient communities. We provided the organizations with start-up funds to implement their respective soccer leagues. Read more about the organizations below.
Mission: To empower young people not only as learners, but also as educators, advocates and leaders.
Mission: To positively influence communities by working with them to provide skills and opportunities for girls and young women to achieve their full potential through football.
Mission: To use integrated actions to improve the conditions of the Kibera community through facilitating initiatives and partnerships that promote peaceful co-existence, health, education, and livelihood opportunities for children, youth and other marginalised groups via capacity building, information dissemination, and promotion of value-based sport and cultural interaction for development.
Mission: To help build a just world where all people have an opportunity to thrive – not simply survive.
